Here at Surplus Swimming we don't just only worry about the type of quality you get in a product, we also care about the way you swim in the pool! We want you to win,become greater, and improve in having the best technique ever! So if you need advice or anything just to get better take this advice below!
Butterfly
To get started, if you want to improve on breath taking in butterfly just stay here! For breath taking we consider taking a breath only when you have to and when you need to. Breathing only makes you tired, so if you need to take repeated breaths take a breath once every other stroke! As well as making sure when you take your breath it is taken before your next stroke! In other words, breathe when your arms are submerged under the water!
Backstroke
Backstroke takes a lot of movement in the shoulders and to control that takes time and effort. But here at Surplus Swimming we want to speed up that process by telling you that if you keep your head straight and your shoulders moving from side to side, everything will go perfect. It goes like this, shoulder chin shoulder chin. Just do it! We promise that will help improve efficiency and speed.
Breaststroke
With breast stroke being one of the most hardest strokes, you have to make sure that no matter what your arms do they blast out. By that we mean that right when you pull them up to your chest push them right out again. Along with that make sure that when you kick your legs and your arms move at separate times, so that you get an extra boost while swimming.
Freestyle
During freestyle everything matters, but the thing that matters the most is your flip turn! When you flip make sure you keep your head straight, and push off the wall with your back towards the ground. So by the time you take off you can kick 4 times and come back on your stomach. Turing on wall takes too much time!
